Bayelsa State U-16 team have defeated her Rivers State counterpart 1-0 in the final of the Zonal U-16 Play-Off for the South-South. The encounter which was decided at the Samson Siasia stadium was witnessed by stakeholders and other football enthusiast with kids displaying talents as part of the catch them young initiative to prepare the lads for future engagement. Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has rewarded wrestlers from the state that won medals at the 3rd Gov Diri National Wrestling Classics held last weekend at the indoor hall of the Samson Siasia stadium Yenagoa in the state capital.
