Bayelsa State Government Issue two Games Ultimatum to Bosso and coaching Crew.
***Directs Chairman to Punish Bosso Over Reckless Comment***
Bayelsa State government has issued two match ultimatum to the coaching crew of Bayelsa United following their abysmal performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL after matchday ten encounter.
Commissioner for Sports Development Dr. Daniel Igali made this known at a meeting with coaches and management of Bayelsa United in Yenagoa, the State capital.
Dr. Igali noted that the need for the ultimatum became necessary due to the team's continuous inability to win matches, saying that government cannot continue to fold it's hands and allow things to go bad despite government efforts.
According to him, the two games ultimatum would start this weekend in Port Harcourt against Rivers United and Katisina United and that failure to secure victories in both games would make the entire technical crew to lose their jobs, pointing out that any player who does not deserve to be in the team would be shown the exit door.
He explained that the governor has made it clear that if they drops to the lower division that the team would be disbanded, urging the team to start winning.
"This team has only two games to get out of position we are now, and if we are not going to do this it will not only affect the technical adviser but entire team. And any player that doesn't deserve to be in the team will be shown the exit door" Igali stated.
The commissioner equally frowned at Ladan Bosso statement during the post match interview against Enyimba on Sunday at the Samson Siasia stadium, Yenagoa.
Dr. Igali stated that he find the statement by Ladan Bosso as not only disheartening but disappointing against the government that players of Bayelsa United have not been cleared whereas players of Bayelsa Queens have been cleared before the commencement of the Nigeria Women Premier Football League.
He directed the chairman of the club Dr. Tarilaye Nwankwe to punish Bosso or face sanction by the government, noting that it is not the duty of a coach to come to press to ridicule the government describing it as unacceptable to the Prosperity administration.
The Prosperity Boys next three games are against Rivers United away, Katisina United home and Shooting Stars away.
