Yenagoa Agog for Football Scouting Programme
Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital will be agog from Wednesday, December 10, 2025 as the state hosts an international football scouting programme.
A statement signed by the Deputy Director General of the Prosperity Cup, Mr Perela Aboro stated that the scouting programme, scheduled for Wednesday, 10th and Thursday, 11th December, will hold at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
The programme is a collaboration between the state F.A. and the organizers of the Prosperity Cup and powered by the Bayelsa State Ministry of Sports Development.
The statement further stated that the ultimate purpose of the scouting programme is to provide a platform for young, talented footballers to play for youth teams in the United Kingdom.
According to the statement, "The programme is a collaboration between the Bayelsa State Ministry of Sports Development, the State Football Association, and organisers of the Prosperity Cup.
"The scouting programme is aimed at discovering young talents for youth teams in the United Kingdom."
It will be recalled that there was a similar scouting and coaching clinic in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital between Thursday, 4 to Monday, December 8, 2025.
The scouting and coaching programme, which kicked-off with the coaching clinic on Thursday, December 4, was held at the Amasiamaka Stadium, Igwuruta, Port Harcourt, with some selected players from Bayelsa in attendance. The kick-off time each day was 7.00 a.m. prompt.
The scouting programme, organized by Top Sports and Detro 818, had FIFA-licensed coaches teaching and training participants on modern football tactics, match techniques, procedures, team building, and lots more.
