Mr. Aye Felicitates Nigeria at 65, Bayelsa at 29

The acting Director of Sports, Bayelsa State Sports Council Mr. Andrew Aye unbehalf of management and staff felicitates with Nigeria on its 65th Independence Anniversary and Bayelsa State on its 29th year of State creation.

In a statement issued in Yenagoa, Mr. Aye who praised the country's progress despite challenges, acknowledging  the God factor which he noted  has made us remain strong as a nation.
According to him, Bayelsa at  29 has made  significant strides especially in the area of Sports.

The Director of Sports appreciated the Prosperity administration led by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri for his love for the Youths and huge investment in sports which he noted is yielding results.

Mr. Aye also thanked the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujiakpor for his continuous support to the sports council by ensuring that everything needed is provided for the state athletes to flourish.

He further praised the Commissioner for Sports Development, Champion Dr Daniel Igali for his support and guidance, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.

According to Mr Aye,  working with Dr Igali  has been nothing short of an inspiration due to his vast experience both as an athlete and administrator.

He urged Bayelsans and Nigerians at large to unite, foster peace, and work towards a brighter future, shun divisive tendencies and strive for a Nigeria where everyone will have equal opportunity.
