Movers FC, Advance Dreams FA, Creek FC Secure Wins in Bayelsa State League

Movers FC of Otuasega moved to top of group D in the ongoing Bayelsa State Football Association League after week two of the tournament taking place in four different centers in the state.

Movers FC of Otuasega thrashed Metros FC by four goals to nil to move to the summit of the group having won two straight games against Light FC and Metros FC of Otuoke while Victory Vault FC of Opume in the other group game pipped Endurance Spencer's Emeyal 2 United by a lone goal at the Imiringi Township Stadium.
Light FC in the last match of group D edged out Hope Alive FC of Otuoke by three goals to one leaving them hopeless having tested defeat in two consecutive weeks. 

Creek FC of Yenagoa at the Bishop Dimeari Grammar School, BDGS centre beat Saturday FC by three goals to two on Friday in group A while Better Days FC and Kingdom Stars FC settled for a one all draw. Creek FC lead the group with four points, Saturday FC on three points, Better Days FC and Kingdom Stars FC have one point each after two games. 

Defending champions, Advance Dreams FA in group B pipped United FC by two goals to one to keep their dreams of retaining the trophy in shape, youthful Bayelsa FA beat De Rhema FC by two goals to one to remain in control of group B with a maximum of six points. 

Elsewhere in group C at the Kpansia centre, AJ Inter Soccer humbled Genesis FC 4-2 to send a strong signal to the rest of the teams in the group. Seaside Academy in the other group encounter eased out the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC FC 3-1 to move top of the group while Rich Destiny and Stardom Life settled for a barren draw. 

However in the last group A and B matches decided at the Bishop Dimeari Grammar School, BDGS centre on Sunday 5th July 2025, Foundation FC triumphed one nil over Famgbe FC while Glitch FC beat Kolombia FC by two goals to one to maintain second spot with six points. 

Matchday three actions will return this weekend in four different venues in the Bayelsa State Football Association League.

Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) Honoured with Awa Man of the Year Award

H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the chairman of Don Media Group, which owns Ikoro 93.3 FM and Don 103.7 FM, has been conferred with the Awa Man of the Year Award by the youth of his community, Umuawa-Alaocha.
