Teams Know Opponent in Bayelsa State Football Association League.

Advance Dreams Football Academy will begin their title defence this weekend in the 2024/2025  Bayelsa State Football Association League against Glitch FC of Yenagoa at the Bishop Dimieari Grammar School pitch. 

This year's Bayelsa State Football Association League will see over 20 teams jostling for glory in four different centres with the both finalist representing the State in the nationwide division two play-off this year.
According to the draws released by the state football association secretary, Mr Diseye Nwankwe, Famgbe FC will be up against Better FC in group A, Kingdom Stars FC will take on Saturday FC while Creek FC entertains Foundation FC on Saturday. 

Kolombia FC in group B, will face youthful Bayelsa FA, The Rhema FC United Stars of Okaka, defending champions Advance Dreams FA and debutant Glitch FC with group games coming up on Sunday at the BDGS centre. 

Kpansia field will have the luxury of hosting teams in group C which include Stardom Light FC, Aj Inter Soccer FC, Genesis FC, the National Youths Service Corp NYSC FC, Sea Side FC and tournament hopeful, Rich Destiny.

Teams in Ogbia Local Government Area will face each other at the Imiringi Township Stadium and they include Hope Alive FC of Otuoke, Victory Vault FC, Emeyal 2 United, Metros FC, Movers FC of Otuasega and Light FC, with all fixtures in the group kick-starting on Saturday. 

Hope Alive FC in the first match at the Imiringi centre welcomes Vault FC by 11.00am, Emeyal 2 United will keep a date with Metros FC in the second game at 1.00pm while Movers FC will confront Light FC in the last game of the day at the Imiringi centre.

Chairman of the Bayelsa State Football Association BSFA, Barr Porbeni Ogun in a remark urged all grassroots coaches in the obtain CAF Licensed D certificate to enhance their capacity. 

Also, chairman of the state league Mr. Perela Aboro, charged the coaches to abide by the rules and regulations of the competition.

Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) Honoured with Awa Man of the Year Award

H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the chairman of Don Media Group, which owns Ikoro 93.3 FM and Don 103.7 FM, has been conferred with the Awa Man of the Year Award by the youth of his community, Umuawa-Alaocha.
