PCRC Abia Honors Mayor Igbokwe for Outstanding Contributions to Peace and Security



The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Abia State Command, led by Chief Iheanyi Igboanulam (Kpakpando Ndigbo Dum), has conferred honorary membership on H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), recognizing his unwavering commitment to peace, security, and development in Abia State.

Presenting the plaque of honor and identification card to the United Nations Ambassador of Peace, the PCRC chairman praised Mayor Igbokwe for leveraging his vast network within the police hierarchy to enhance security across communities in the state. He urged him to continue playing a pivotal role in ensuring Abia remains one of the safest states in the South East and Nigeria at large.
In his acceptance speech, Mayor Igbokwe expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his dedication to fostering peace and security in Abia. He emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in productive ventures as a crucial strategy for crime prevention.
“The youth are full of energy; if we don’t channel it positively, it could be misdirected toward negative vices. As leaders and stakeholders, we must take responsibility for ensuring their proper engagement,” he stated.

Mayor Igbokwe further pledged his continued support for security agencies, stressing the need for a safe and conducive environment for residents, businesses, and visitors in Abia State.
