Mayor Ikeji Attends Nkwoachara Town Hall Meeting; Reiterates Commitment To Be Accountable to the People

Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D (Kpakpando-Umuahia) , the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA today, Wednesday 28th August, 2024 honoured the invitation of the people of Nkwoachara Ward who invited him to a town hall meeting, to account for his stewardship as the Umuahia North council boss.
The Mayor, while engaging the people of Nkwoachara, commended them for the initiative. He was of the opinion that citizens' involvement and engagement is the hallmark of democracy.

He commended them for the initiative as he assured them of his commitment to providing an accountable leadership to the people of Umuahia North, which includes Nkwoachara Ward.
The Mayor also stated that he deliberately distributed most of his programs and projects across the 12 wards to ensure inclusion and equitable development across the nooks and crannies of the council.

He said two roads from Nkwoachara Ward received attention, and they include: Afor-Umuawa to Obowo Road and Umunakaru Alaike to Umuaram Road were graded and sand filled.

He also reminded them that about 20 of Nkwoachara Sons and daughters are beneficiaries of the various ongoing skills acquisition in the council.

In terms of involvement in his government, he said two of their  sons occupy two prominent positions; Special Adviser On Revenue and Policy Formulation and Chief Press Secretary in his cabinet 

He assured them that the Ward would not be left out in any of his administration's programs and projects.

The high point of the event was a question and answers session, which the Mayor answered satisfactorily to the admiration of the people of Nkwoachara Ward.

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute.
