Bayelsa Queens Chairman Hails Government for Successful Hosting of Super Six.
The management of Bayelsa Queens has commended the Bayelsa State government for the successful hosting of the Nigeria Women Premier Football League NWFL Super Six in Yenagoa.
The club in a statement by the chairman Pastor Robin Apreala hails the prosperity administration giant strides towards the development of women's football in the country and beyond.
According to him, the unwavering commitment of the Prosperity administration speaks volume of the governor's passion for sports, saying that the successful hosting of the super six was a testament that Bayelsa can host more national competitions.
He attributed the success of the super six to the hard work, dedication of the members of the Local Organizing Committee LOC, the Bayelsa State Football Association, security agencies and Bayelsans, maintaining that they all displayed patriotism.
Pastor Apreala, apologized on behalf of the board, players and coaches to the Bayelsa State government for their inability to win the super six, assuring the government that plans have started immediately for Bayelsa Queens to have a fruitful 2024/2025 season even as they prepare for the FA Cup now known as President Cup against Nasarawa Amazons.
The statement thanked the governor Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, commissioner for Sports Development Chief Daniel Igali and the permanent Secretary Mrs. Grace Alagoa for the endless love throughout the season.
The clergyman equally lauded the fans and Bayelsans for their dedication and commitment all through the regular season and the super six describing the situation as a temporary setback.
He however thanked the almighty God for protecting them in their journeys without any sad news in the duration of the season.
