COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT LEAD THE ONGOING UNIVERSITY OF AFRICA TORU-ORUA INTER DEPARTMENTAL GAMES COMPETITION

The ongoing Inter Departmental Games at the University of Africa Toru-Orua have so far been nothing short of exciting as talents have emerged from various departments and sports in the Institution as the  Computer Science has so far shown that they're the Department to beat in the ongoing competition.

Hours after the competition kicked off Political Science Department defeated Theater Art Department in two sets 21-11 and 21-19 to emerge champions of the Badminton Competition.

Computer Science won their first sports of the games after clinching the two categories of the Chess competition.

And they also followed it up with a time limit win to claim the trophy in the Monopoly game against three other Departments in Agricultural Science Department, Mass Communication Department and Accounting Department.


Computer Science made it a hattrick of victories after emerging champions of the Scrabble Competition with a 205 - 196 win over Political Science 
 
In the Group Stage of the Football category of the games, Agricultural Science thrashed History Department 4-0 while Political Science played out a 1-1 draw against host community Toru-Orua, while Educational Department held the impressive Computer Science to a 1-1 draw.

Business Administration will square up against Political Science while Mass Communications also have a very determined Micro Biology Department to contend with at the Community Primary School Field.

Basketball and Volleyball will commence on 21st of March 2024 where Civic Center and Volleyball Sand Field will be the venues to these sports respectively.

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute. According to Mr Udeh "I am the youth president of Umuokarafor, who was unanimously elected by the entire youths of Umuokarafor, Mr. Chikamara Metuh, is not a youth president, nor an executive in Umuokarafor or Umuyota".
