Bayelsa United Star Striker, Mizo Robert has said his dream is to play in Europe few years from now as he targets Thirty Goals this season in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Mizo Robert in an exclusive interview with madeinafricasport.com noted that it has been a good start for him so far this season and will continue to push so as to get better, the young striker also said it was a dream come through for him to make his debut last season in the Nigeria Premier League and that he has been preparing for it.
"Well for me it’s been a dream to play in the NPFL someday as the NPFL is the top flight league in the country so I was just working hard and waiting to get that platform to showcase myself so when it came I was very much prepared."
"In few years to come, I see myself getting better with dedication, break into the Nigeria Men's National Team and get to Europe."
Mizo Robert also spoked on his target for the season after scoring six goals in seven matches so far.
"Honestly, I just want to do better this season. I scored 9 goals and ended up as second highest goal scorer last season."
"I am hoping to just do better for my team. Number of goals?. Maybe 30".
Speaking on his team, Bayelsa United poor start to the season, Mizo added that the team will come good and it's still early days to talk about relegation.
"It’s just seven games so why are we talking about relegation now, the team started badly doesnt mean we will end badly, we are sure gonna bounce back, it’s more of a new team with new players with different abilities but for sure we will come back strong". He concluded.
Mizo Robert won the League Bloggers Award player of the season for September/October after scoring six goals in Five Matches.
