Prosperity Cup: Golden Sun Sports Academy Battles Crystal Stars FC in Epic Bayelsa Governor's Cup Women's Final

Golden Sun Sports Club and Crystal Stars FC have qualified for the final of the women's maiden edition of the Bayelsa State Governor's Football Tournament tagged the Prosperity Cup.

Golden Sun Sports Club humbled Niger Delta University NDU Queens FC 6-1 to reach the final of the women's Prosperity Cup.

Goals from Rowland Victory, a brace from Dumber Nana, Ogele Joy, ThankGod Brake and Ogwu Young Glory as well as consolation from Asigo Gloria put the Yenagoa side into the final.

Earlier Crystal Stars FC of Yenagoa triumphed 3-0 over Peremor Soccer Academy in a game decided at the Samson Siasia Stadium. Sabina Iwomari put Crystal Stars FC ahead 10 minutes into the game.
Favour John doubled the lead for Crystal Stars FC on 17 minute to compound Peremor Soccer Academy woes, Pere Richeal on 56 minutes sealed the victory for the Yenagoa based team.

NDU Queens FC and Peremor Soccer Academy will now shift their attention to the losers final of the competition on Saturday 1pm to be followed by the men's third place encounter between Agbere FC and Dream Boys FC of Odi at 3pm.

The women's final will come up on Sunday by 1pm at the Samson Siasia Stadium while the men's showdown between De Grace FC and Crusaders Feeders FC comes immediately after the game with governor Douye Diri alongside other government functionaries expected to declare the showpiece close.

In the para soccer exhibition game,  'Leave Am For Me' FC spanked Para Soccer Warriors FC 2-0 at the Samson Siasia Stadium to give Person's Living  with Disability the opportunity to also showcase their skills..

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute.
