Ambassador Miebi Ogunu Propose Partnership With State Government To Sensitize Voters Ahead of Diri/Law Second Term Bid

The President of the Independent Grassroots Sport Development Association (IGSDA), High Chief (Amb) Miebi Samson Ogunu is Proposing his sports NGO to  partner with the state government to lunch a campaign organization to sensitize voters , monitor votes and campaign effectively for Diri/ Law Second term bid.

Ambassador Miebi Samson Ogunu who was appointed into the board of the state Owned Male team, Bayelsa United on 21 April 2021 has recorded tremendous achievement since he was made board member of the team,  Among them are:

Initiation of monthly most improved player award in the team which has seen the likes Robert Mizo, Favour Martins, Alex Oyawah and Shuaibu winning the awards, he also pioneered and sponsored a bi-weekly preview on home games which has helped informed supporters on the start list , star players , previous away game result and highlights on players  profile of the away team that week.

The Brass born Sport  Administrator has also successfully carried out special assignments for the state own team where he navigated March officials from Lagos to Yenagoa for Bayelsa United first continental match in Yenagoa, he was also the Head delegate which lead the Bayelsa state feeder team to Ikenne for NNF Laliga  U-15 football competition.

Ambassador Ogunu also used the opportunity to thank the chairman of Bayelsa United, Ebiki Timitimi for creating the opportunity for him to serve and show his administrative Acumen.

As a representative of the grassroots sports subsector he is in constant touch with coaches at the 8 Local Government Areas and has met with more than 20 coaches in Yenagoa LGA. Ambassador Miebi Ogunu added that the campaign offices will be opened in July in all the 8 LGA'S but starting with Yenagoa LGA with those representing the various units, Ogbokiri the headquarters of Akassa clan and  Igalipolo in Apparanbie  community his very place of birth.

High Chief (Amb) Miebi Samson Ogunu believes with his connection and reach at the grassroots level he can use his NGO to Campaign, seek for support and sensitize the citizens on why they should vote for the second term agenda of Sen. Douye Diri and Lawrence Ewhrujakpo as Governor and Deputy Governor respectively for another four year term.

Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) Honoured with Awa Man of the Year Award

H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the chairman of Don Media Group, which owns Ikoro 93.3 FM and Don 103.7 FM, has been conferred with the Awa Man of the Year Award by the youth of his community, Umuawa-Alaocha.
