Date: Wednesday, 7th June 2023
Venue: Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba
Kick-off: 10am
Defending Champions, Bayelsa Queens Football Club will on Wednesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba in Group 'A' seek to defend their title as they take on Lagos based side, FC Robo in the early kick-off in the ongoing Super Six tournament.
Bayelsa Queens qualified for the Super Six tournament by finishing second in Group A with 25 points, just a point below league Leaders, Delta Queens FC.
The Prosperity Girls are definitely one of the favourite in this tournament as they are also the current holders of the Female Federation Cup and are already in this year's final which will be played in a later date.
With the chance to represent the country again at the continental level at stake, the Yenagoa based side will hope to start on a winning note as they entertain FC Robo.
Bayelsa Queens struggled at times in the regular season to score goals but will be hoping that Flourish Sebastian, Etim Edidiong who scored 5 and 3 goals each during the regular season will put on their scoring boots once again as they aim to retain their title.
It's surely not going to be an easy game for Bayelsa Queens despite been the favourite heading to this match as they face an FC Robo side who lost their first game to Rivers Angels and will be keen to see their star player's Esther Oyenezide, Shukurat Oladipo and Ijamilusi Folashade come to the party.
For coach Domo Okara's side, it's about getting all important three points in the first game as rivals Rivers Angels are already topping the group courtesy of their 2-0 victory over FC Robo and with only the group winner's going to the final, the prosperity girls knows there is no margin for error.
