NPL Matchday 12: Bayelsa United vs Abia Warriors

Bayelsa United will on Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa in Matchday Twelve trade tackle with Abia Warriors as they seek to avoid the drop in Group B of the Nigeria Premier League.

The second round of the season has not start very well for the Prosperity Boys having lost against Enugu Rangers in Awka and played out a draw against Dakka FC in Uyo.

With no win so far in the second round of the season, Bayelsa United have only recorded one win all season and are currently placed in 8th position with just a gove difference above the relegation zone.

The first round of the season at home was not too good for Bayelsa United as they could only record one victory and draw the remaining four games played at the Samson Siasia Stadium. If they are to avoid the drop, they must start picking all three points at home and avoid dropping more points.

Technical Adviser, Diepreye Teibowei is already under pressure and knows that a win against visiting Abia Warriors will help reduce the pressure. He will be hoping that Star Striker Mizo Robert can propell the team to victory.

Abia Warriors come into the game on the back of there impressive win against neighbours Enugu Rangers and will be confident of getting at least a point on the road.

For Erasmus Onu's men they have had a very good campaign as they are currently placed third on the table with 18 poins just one point behind league leaders Rivers United.

With the super six still in sight for the Abia based side, you expect them to play with confident against relegation fighters Bayelsa United. A point will surely be good for them to take back home.

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute.
