Stakeholders Commends Athletes For the Level of Competitiveness At The Ongoing Bayelsa State Sport Festival

Key stakeholders in Bayelsa State Sport has commended the level of Competitiveness and performance shown by Athletes in the ongoing first ever Bayelsa State Sport Festival tagged Access Bank Prosperity Unity Games while also thanking the Bayelsa State Government and Access Bank for organizing the event.
The stakeholders gave their commendation while watching the ongoing sport festival at the various centers.
The commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon. Daniel Igali commended the level of of competitiveness among various Local Government Areas in the state at the ongoing Bayelsa State Sport festival.
According to the Igali, the level of performance by athletes who have not had this level of experience supercedes his expectation, stressing that he is impressed with the level of talent discovered so far.
Former Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development in the state, Mr Perekiye Boruboyefe said he was pleased with the development and that it's a positive for the state, Youths and society, he urged the organizers to put in more efforts.
While the South South Zonal Representative in the board of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade Said that the festival is a success, adding that the fact Bayelsa State is hosting her own festival it's a good thing for the local government, he also added that there is always room for an improvement in next edition
Speaking on the ongoing Table Tennis event, The NTTF Zonal Representative said that he would have loved to see the rules well written out for the table tennis event as regard age brackets while suggesting that the it should be for players who are of young age.
As of Wednesday evening, Brass LGA had already taken the lead with as much as five gold, two silver, five bronze making it twelve, Kolokuma/Opokuma on second with four gold, three silver, nine bronze, Yenagoa LGA on three gold, six silver, six bronze in third placed.
While Ekeremor, Southern Ijaw and Sagbama occupied 4th, 5th 6th position as Ogbia and Nembe are placed 7th and 8th on the official medal table that has been released.
The Bayelsa State Sport Festival tagged Access Bank Prosperity Unity Games will continue today across the various centers.
