NPFL: Bayelsa United Seeks To Return To Winning Ways Against Enugu Rangers

NPFL Preview: Bayelsa United FC vs Enugu Rangers FC

Date: 19/2/2023

Venue: Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa

Kick-off: 4:00pm

The first stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) abridged season comes to an end this weekend as bottom placed Bayelsa United tackles seventh placed Enugu Rangers at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa in group B.

Home side bayelsa United will be hoping to end the first round of the league on a winning note after a poor run of zero wins in their last four matches which has seen them placed bottom of the group albeit with a game in hand. The prosperity Boys got a valuable point away at Niger Tornadoes in match week eight courtesy of striker Mizo Robert who got the equaliser for the prosperity Boys after going a goal behind in the encounter.

Boyed by that away point Bayelsa United will hope to get a home win against Enugu Rangers who themselves have not really had a good season.

Abdul Maikaba's tutored side, Enugu Rangers will be full of confident coming into the game after recording a victory in their last home match against Doma United of Gombe sees them in seventh  position with eight points.

The pressure will certainly be on the home side Bayelsa United after a run of no win at home in their last two matches and lying bottom of group B while For the Flying Antelopes, a draw will certainly be a good point for them as they seek to continue their resurgence towards the top of the table.

It's not been the best start for both teams so far but it sure promise to be an entertaining encounter as they seek to end they first round on a winning note.
