All is now set for the semi-final of the Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup, as Ilesha East and Egbedore joined Osun FA and Ila United following victories over their counterparts in yesterday's quarterfinal clashes.

In the first Quarterfinal played yesterday, Friday 6th of January 2023, Ilesha East defeated Ede South FC 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 regulation time draw.

Buhari Kamal's 39th minutes goal for Ede South FC cancelled out Fanibi Oluwatosin 31st minutes goal, leaving both sides level going into the first half break.

With no breakthrough in the second half, the game headed into penalties where Ilesha East emerged victorious 5-4.

In the second semi-final, Egbedore United defeated Atakumosa East 2-0.

Dominating the first 45 minutes, Egbedore Utd failed to hit the back of the net despite creating numerous scoring chances forcing Atakumosa East's goalkeeper to making unbelievable saves.

With no scores going into the break, the game became more open and unlike the first half largely dominated by Egbedore, Atakumosa grew into confidence in the second, taking the game to their opponents thereby forcing Egbedore's goalkeeper into making a couple saves as well.

Having stopped goal-bound balls on occasions during the game, Atakumosa East's goalkeeper eventually had hand in the opening goal of the afternoon against his team as the ball meant for a cross slowly slip through his hand into the back of the net for Egbedore Utd first goal.

Ibrahim Isiak was the goal scorer in the event (71st minute).

Eight minutes after the opener, Ismail Amosa ensured there was no way back for Atakumosa as he doubled Egbedore's lead.

With the final scores at 2-0, Egbedore became the last team to join the semi-final train.
