Governor Diri, Others to Receive Football Academy Honours at Odi

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State is among top government officials and administrators to be conferred honours at the inaugural Dreams Football Academy Award Ceremony, Lecture and Luncheon.
The event which is organized in conjunction with the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Bayelsa State Chapter is scheduled for the Odi Kingdom Pavilion by Government Secondary School, Odi in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 at Noon.

The occasion which will be chaired by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surveyor Moses Teibowei will also have the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Tonye Isenah receive awards among other personalities.

President of the Dream Boys Football Academy, Odi, Dift Edike and Chairman of the Planning Committee, Sir Braveman Wodi in a statement say SWAN National President, Sir Honour Sirawoo is expected to deliver a lecture on the importance of Sports development in contemporary society and the need for government to invest in growing football academies

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute. According to Mr Udeh "I am the youth president of Umuokarafor, who was unanimously elected by the entire youths of Umuokarafor, Mr. Chikamara Metuh, is not a youth president, nor an executive in Umuokarafor or Umuyota".
