2022 Value Jet Cup: Remo Stars to face Ijebu United in opener

Local Derby to kickoff 2022 Value Jet Cup 

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Remo Stars will kickstart the opening match of the 2022 Value Jet Cup in a local derby match against Ijebu United on Thursday. 

The Sky Blue stars were placed in Group A, alongside two NPFL sides, Plateau United and Shooting Stars, while Nigeria National League (NNL) sides, Vandrezzer FC and Ijebu United completes the group.

NPFL Champions, Rivers United will compete at the 2022 Value Jet Cup in Group B. Others in the group are NPFL side, Kwara United and NNL sides, Gateway United, Ottasolo FC and Smart City FC. 

The opening match between Remo Stars and Ijebu United slated for Thursday, will be played by 6pm under floodlights at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne. 

Value Jet Cup is a preseason tournament proudly sponsored by Value Jet airlines.

The People of Umuyota Autonomous Community in Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA has reacted to a press release purportedly signed by one imposter named Chikamara Metuh. In a press release signed by Mr. Bright Udeh the Youth President of the Umuokarafor Community, the community where both Mr. Adimchinobi Abraham and High Chief Sonny Uwakwe Nlewedim hails from has advised  members of the public to disregard the so-called press release trying to present the emergence of Chief Sonny Nlewedim as the Eze-Elect of Umuyota Autonomous Community in dispute.
