Commonwealth Games: Team Nigeria Boxers Land In Birmingham



Ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Team Nigeria Boxing contingent have arrived in Birmingham, England venue of the event, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The qualified nine boxers that will represent the country and their trainers departed the shores of the country on Friday evening after undergoing intensive training.

They arrived at the Heathrow Airport on Saturday evening and they were moved quickly to Birmingham.

All eyes will be on the team captain Afeez Osoba who won a silver medal at the 2019 All African Games.

All the male boxers will start their first bout at Round 32, while the female ones start theirs at Round of 16.

The games will run from July 28th to August 8th.
