2022 Commonwealth Games: What You Need To Know

• This Year Games will be the 22nd Edition.

• More than 5,000 athletes representing 72 nations and territories are set to compete in 19 sports & 8 para- sorts for 280 medal events over a packed 11 days.

• This year's event features the largest number of events for women (136) and Para-sport athletes (42) in the history of the Games.

• A total of 94 athletes will represent Nigeria in 9 different sports.

• Africa will be represented by 19 countries in Birmingham 2022.
