‎Bayelsa United Board Member Pledges to Host Players and Coaches of the Club. ‎

‎The President of the Independent Grassroots Sports Development Association, IGSDA, Chief Miebi Ogunu has concluded plans to host players and coaches of Bayelsa United as the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL season draws closer.
‎Chief Ogunu gave the hint on his social media handle ahead of Bayelsa United game this weekend against Kun Khalifat FC.
‎According to him, the gesture was a way to motivate players and coaches of the team, maintaining that the award as well as hosting the team at the famous Nengi Sea Food Hub, Gbongbon plaza Ekeki was to encourage the team.
‎He noted that the team would enjoy the gesture if they get victories in their next six games in the NPFL, that the goalscorer in any match would smile to bank with a token.
‎He explained that this is the second time he was embarking on the lauable initiative since he was appointed as a board member in Bayelsa United, stating that he did it few years ago when the team was rocking the bottom of the league to salvage them out of the drop zone.
‎He further explained that about five players which include; Robert Mizo, Alex Jerry, John Shuaibu and the experienced Hassan Oladimeji are players who in the past benefited from the scheme.
‎"As a way of motivating the players and coaches, I have once again decided to float a personal award to host the team at Nengi's sea food hub at Gbongbon plaza for the next six games straight win starting with this weekend game, and a token for the goalscorer of the winning goal in any match" he stated
‎"It will be recalled I floated several of these awards in the past when we found ourselves in similar condition in the league and I'm elated we escaped with the likes of Mizo, Alex , Shuaibu , Hassan, among others" playing in the team at the time, he added.
‎He commended the players, coaches, fans and management of the club for the show of determination against league leaders, Rivers United last week in the NPFL.
