Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament Organizers Thumbs Up Gov Diri for Successful Competition

‎The organizers of the Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament 2025 have commended Governor Douye Diri for the continuous support of the development of sports in the state. 
‎
‎This is contained in a statement signed by the coordinator of the tournament, Mr. Diseye Nwankwe after a successful pre-season tournament in Yenagoa.
‎
‎The statement notes that the governor's continuous support for the development of sports in the state has placed Bayelsa as the leading sporting state in the country, maintaining that sports development under the Prosperity administration is witnessing global attention. 
‎
‎According to him, hosting Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament in the state for the second time in two years was a reflection of the governor's unparalleled passion for sports, stating that the pre-season tournament has further boosted the confidence of Bayelsa United before going into the new season.
‎
‎The statement hinted that the tournament secretariat has already received interest from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL clubs to be part of the next edition, expressing gratitude to the government for the opportunity. 
‎
‎He lauded the various participating teams; Kun Khalifat, Bayelsa United, Bayelsa United U-20, runner up Warri Wolves, Prosperity Cup champions, Eternal Grace Ministry, EGM FC and champions, Bendel Insurance, for their show of professionalism and dexterity throughout the competition. 
‎
‎Mr. Nwankwe equally appreciated the Governor, Senator Douye Diri, the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Commissioner for Sports Development, Dr Daniel Igali and the Chairman of Bayelsa United, Dr. Tarilaye Nwankwe for ensuring that the competition continues.
