‎ ‎ Warri Wolves will battle Bendel Insurance in the final of the Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament on Saturday ahead of the August 22nd kick-off of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL. ‎ ‎The Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament has in the last few days witnessed beautiful football from four NPFL teams, Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat, Bendel Insurance and Bayelsa United as well as Prosperity Cup champions, Eternal Grace Ministry, EGM FC and Bayelsa U-20 side. ‎---Presents Match and Training Kits to Referees--- ‎ ‎The Organizers of the ongoing  Bayelsa Pre-season Football Tournament in Yenagoa on Wednesday at the Indoor Hall of the Samson Siasia Sports Complex organized a one day lecture on the "Laws of the game" to the participating teams. ‎ ‎The lecture which was conducted by the Bayelsa State Referee's Council to the teams which includes, Bayelsa United, Bendel Insurance, Warri Wolves, EGM FC and Kun Khalifat FC was done in other to keep them acquainted with latest laws. ‎ ‎Speaking to journalists after the event, Bendel Insurance coach Greg Ikhenoba described the lecture as educative because it would be good for the players who are the key actors of the game. ‎ ‎Also, Bayelsa United Head Coach, Meremu Okara, said the exercise was timely due to the regular changes on the game, pointing out that it's important for fans to be involved in the exercise in order to avoid blaming match officials.  ‎ ...

CEDAR FOOTBALL ACADEMY 4-NATION TOURNAMENT ENDS IN A GRAND STYLE IN PORT HARCOURT

The maiden edition of the 4-Nation Holiday Tournament in Port Harcourt for U-13 and U-10 boys, organized by Cedar Football Academy, ended in a grand style at the Nigeria Television Authority football pitch in Port Harcourt on Saturday, 9th August 2025. Opening remarks by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Mr. John Ijeoma Barigha, welcomed all participant teams and parents who came out to support their kids. He expressed his joy with parents of the various kids, thanking them all for their support. According to him, today's tournament would not have been successful without them. While acknowledging the role the parents play, he promised that the next edition will be bigger than this. Six Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL teams and two non-league sides will be participating in the Bayelsa Pre-Season Football Tournament in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. This was contained in a statement signed by the coordinator of the tournament, Mr. Diseye Nwankwe ahead of the commencement of the tournament slated for 10th through the 16th of August, 2025 at the Samson Siasia Stadium. The statement notes that the tournament will feature eight teams which include; Bendel Insurance, El-Kanemi Warriors, Enugu Rangers, Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri, newly promoted Warri Wolves, Bayelsa United, Prosperity Cup champions, Eternal Grace Ministry, EGM FC and Bayelsa United U-20 team.
