The Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D  (Kpakpando-Umuahia) has distributed fertilizers from the state government to farmers across the council. The Mayor, while distributing the fertilizer, stated that it was released to the local government by the governor, Dr Alex Otti OFR, and is aimed at boosting agricultural production across the state. Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) Honoured with Awa Man of the Year Award

H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the chairman of Don Media Group, which owns Ikoro 93.3 FM and Don 103.7 FM, has been conferred with the Awa Man of the Year Award by the youth of his community, Umuawa-Alaocha. During the award presentation, in his Umuawa-Alaocha country home, yesterday, Monday, 8th July, 2025,  the Youth President of the community, Hon. Adindu Chizaram, stated that Mayor Igbokwe was chosen for this honour due to his significant investments in the community. These investments have greatly empowered the youth through job creation and have contributed to the overall development of Umuawa-Alaocha. Chizaram expressed the community's gratitude to Mayor Igbokwe for establishing two radio stations, constructing roads, and the nearly completed gas plant. Encomiums and accolades have continued to pour in for renowned businessman and Chairman of Don Media Group, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe ( Don Lulu), in recognition of his enduring contributions to community and youth development. On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the youths of Ohuhu-Umuahia, led by their Youth President, Chief Uchenna Gavin Iheanacho, conferred on Mayor Igbokwe the prestigious Pillar of the Youth Award.
