The Hon. Commissioner For Land, Housing & Urban Development, Mr Esau Andrew has urged Local Government to give support to the various teams in there local government as the ongoing Prosperity Cup enters it's semifinals stage 

The commissioner who was speaking after the game between Odioma FC and Peretorugbene United FC, encouraged the governor, Sen. Douye Diri to keep what he has already started adding that it's a competition that showcase talents at the grassroots.

"I would encourage my principal his excellency Douye Diri to keep what he has already started because it's a competition that actually showcase talents from the grassroots".

"what i would want to advise is, the moment teams are selected from the local government area let there be assistance from the local government council so that the teams will have that moral support, financial support to give them some enthusiasm."

He added that if not for the support from some political bigwigs within some localities it would have been difficult for some teams to honour their games in Yenagoa.

Meanwhile in the remaining quarter finals of the ongoing Prosperity cup, Odioma FC on Tuesday at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa defeated former Champions Peretorugbene United FC 3-1 on penalties to advance to the semifinals while in the second quarter finals of the day, Agbere FC beat Amassoma FC 4-2 to reach the Semifinals.
