Bayelsa To Host Zonal YSFON

As part of efforts to identify budding talents in the grassroots, the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has mapped out plans to organizing Zonal U-16 football tournament across the six geo-political zones in the country. In this regard,  Bayelsa State is billed to host the South-South edition.

Mr. Kali Gwegwe, Vice President, South South has given assurance to  football fans that the best of youth football in Nigeria is coming to Yenagoa. 
It will begin with hosting an U-16 Football League for the South-South zone from the 14th to 20th August. 

Thereafter, winners from the 6 geo-political zones will come to Yenagoa in September for the Super six to crown the best youth football team in Nigeria.

The zonal youth league competition is for U-16 boys in the south south region and will see each state represented by one team.

Teams that are interested in taking part in the competition are to pay the sum of #30.000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira) only as registration fee to the organizers.

The zonal YSFON U-16 league will take place at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and it's scheduled for August 14th-20th 2022.

Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) Honoured with Awa Man of the Year Award

H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), the chairman of Don Media Group, which owns Ikoro 93.3 FM and Don 103.7 FM, has been conferred with the Awa Man of the Year Award by the youth of his community, Umuawa-Alaocha. Encomiums and accolades have continued to pour in for renowned businessman and Chairman of Don Media Group, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe ( Don Lulu), in recognition of his enduring contributions to community and youth development.
